Hardin Memorial Health announced this week the expansion of two specialty services in Campbellsville.
According to a news release, Hardin Memorial now offers cardiovascular and critical and pulmonary care services at a new medical facility at 101 Winston Way, Suite 100.
The release said cardiovascular services include prevention, early diagnosis and advanced treatment for patients through the recovery process. Providers diagnose, treat and manage common and complex cardiovascular diseases including coronary heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure/hypertension and rheumatic heart disease.
“Timing is everything when it comes to conditions of the heart, including prevention,” said Krishnan Challappa, M.D., who has provided cardiovascular care in the area for many years and now is seeing patients at the new location, in the release. “Our new facility allows us to serve more Campbellsville residents and I look forward to working with Dr. (Kelli) Mathew to provide comprehensive care to patients with critical care needs.”
Mathew, D.O., currently is establishing a new critical and pulmonary care practice at the Campbellsville facility.
The release said Hardin Memorial Health offers comprehensive critical and pulmonary care services for adults with life-threatening illnesses and injuries. Mathew will be on-hand to assess and treat patients with coronary and respiratory health care needs.
“The number of patients from Taylor County and surrounding areas we see across HMH continues to grow,” Assistant Vice President for the HMH Medical Group Sheila Smallwood said in the release. “Patients traveling to Elizabethtown for critical services made the decision to grow the existing HMH Central Cardiology practice and offer more services very easy. We look forward to growing the specialty clinic in the years to come.”
Patient and physician referrals are available now. Patients can schedule appointments at the new Campbellsville facility by calling 270-789-9640 for cardiovascular services and 270-706-5787 for critical and pulmonary care services.
