CRUTCHES FOR KIDS. Your broken leg or sprained ankle has healed and you’re hoping never to lay eyes on your crutches again. Don’t let them collect cobwebs in your garage or attic — donate them to Crutches for Kids.
Donating crutches will make you feel good, while at the same time providing items and equipment for the HMH Sports Medicine team to help athletes at six area high schools feel better.
In addition to crutches, supplies such as gently used ankle, knee or wrist braces; walking boots; and cold therapy units such as GameReady, Polarcare, Cryo-cuff or DeReRoyal brand products also are being accepted.
This program has been introducted by HMH Therapy and Sports Medicine and donations can be taken to their offices at 1111 Ring Road. Elizabethtown; 75 Nature Trail, Radcliff; and 100 Commerce Drive, Brandenburg. For information, call an HMH athletic trainer at 270-737-7529.
