Tails and Tatas 5K raises over $11,000 for cancer patients
One month following the third annual Tails and Tatas 5K presented by Atria Senior Living, organizers presented a check for $11,923.03 to the HMH Foundation for Baptist Health Hardin Cancer Care. This year, the race was hosted virtually allowing runners to raise money and complete the 5K on their own schedule. Last year, the race raised a little over $6,000 for Cancer Care. HMH Cancer Patient Shares Her Story
Kayi Lewis from Cecilia, Kentucky would be the first to tell you - she never expected a cancer diagnosis. In January 2017, Lewis went to HMH Emergency Department for abdominal pain. Local Company Honors Employee with HMHF Donation
On Friday, December 15, Joe Anderson and Glenn Green of Schuler Bauer - Radcliff presented a $1500 check to Tracee Troutt to benefit the Hardin Memorial Health Foundation. The "grateful patient" donation is designated for HMH Cancer Care. Green is a patient at HMH Cancer Care and is currently battling pancreatic cancer. HMH Leader Receives HMH’s First Ever DAISY Nurse Leader Award
In a surprise ceremony, HMH’s Chief Nursing Office (CNO), Sharon Wright received the DAISY Nurse Leader Award from the patient who nominated her. Wright, HMH’s CNO since 2013, is the first ever recipient of the award at HMH. Like other nurse leaders, Wright regularly recognizes HMH nurses with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, established by the DAISY Foundation in 1999.
