Elizabethtown
Founder
SB Holding Corporation
C. Michael “Mike” Bowers has been assisting or running businesses throughout his professional life in a management, consulting or board role.
Mike moved to the region in 1999 where he met his wife, Dana, a Radcliff native. In 2001, Mike and Dana founded iPay Technologies, where he served as Chairman and CFO of the online bill payment provider. He now manages SB Holding Group which specializes in investing in entrepreneurial, primarily late-stage, small-cap companies.
Mike was raised in Paragould, Arkansas, where in the 1940s his parents helped start the local community hospital. His mom was a hospital volunteer and his dad was on the hospital board, so Mike says giving back and supporting the healthcare system is “baked into my DNA.”
Mike has found many similarities between the two regions and their healthcare systems.
“These places don’t just happen. There were a lot of people with vision and commitment who helped make this community and this healthcare system what it is today,” he said.
“I’m fortunate to call this place home now and I want to do my part as board member of the Foundation to help HMH.”
Mike is currently Chairman of Digital Compliance and also holds positions on the Elizabethtown Hardin County Industrial Foundation, the Association for Corporate Growth, AISA, Associates in Pediatric Therapy, Mountjoy Chilton Medley, CPA, the Enterprise Angels Community Fund, GLI Enterprise Corp., Lincoln Trail Venture Group and the University of Louisville College of Business.
