Elizabethtown
Attorney & President
John Scott Law
John Scott has been a practicing attorney and community leader in Elizabethtown for more than four decades. His law practice is concentrated in the field of estate planning and estate settlement.
John appreciates the quality and convenience that Hardin Memorial Health offers and that’s why he decided to serve on the HMH Foundation Board.
His parents, who are approaching their 75th wedding anniversary, have been patients at HMH.
“In my mind, HMH is the only place to go for my family and friends,” John said. “It represents home and quality care and service.”
John understands the importance of HMH to the region and is thankful that visionary leaders 60-plus years ago had the foresight to establish Hardin Memorial.
“If those leaders were here today they would be very pleased with what HMH has become,” he said. “The Foundation will continue to expand the excellent care and service that HMH provides.”
John has also served as president of the Hardin County Community Foundation, was a member of the board of directors of the Wesley Hilltop House and the Brown Pusey House, and chaired the board of Memorial United Methodist Church. He also teaches Sunday school. His alter ego on Elizabethtown’s Historic Downtown Walking Tour is that of “diamond swindler” Phillip Arnold. John has played that role for nearly 30 years.
John and his wife Sandra have three children and five grandchildren.
