Baptist Health Hardin
Dennis Johnson is President and CEO of Baptist Health Hardin. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, with a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration. He joined Baptist Health in 1990 as an Administrative Resident and has been promoted to several executive roles, including Vice President at Baptist Health Lexington and Administrator at Baptist Health LaGrange.
Dennis has been at the helm of Baptist Health Hardin since 2011, and during his tenure the physician enterprise has grown from 17 locations to almost 50 and a new Cancer Care Center opened as well as the North Tower, which has more than 50 private rooms. Dennis gives the credit to the entire HMH team and touts the unmatched level of care they provide. He says everyone who enters the doors of a Baptist Health Hardin facility is treated like family.
“Baptist Health Hardin is more than just a place to work,” he said. “It’s a family.”
Dennis said this caring nature is characteristic of the entire community. That includes the HMH Foundation Board of Directors.
“It is an extraordinary group of people dedicated to pursing investments for Baptist Health Hardin. At a time when most hospitals are fighting for their very existence, an active foundation is essential.”
Dennis is also the previous past chair of the Kentucky Hospital Association. He and his wife Tracy have three children.
