Abound Credit Union received a 2020 Kentucky Governor’s Service Award for its for its $1.5 million long-term investment in military and community health.

Abound’s 10-year financial commitment and partnership made through the Hardin Memorial Health Foundation was announced in November 2019 to help expand services at HMH Medical Group Radcliff Family Medicine clinic near the Wilson Gate of Fort Knox. This unique partnership was formed to offer holistic care that addresses physical, mental, social and financial health for the benefit of the community.

Abound was nominated in the business category of the Governor’s Service Award recognition program. It’s selection was announced Saturday in a virtual awards ceremony.

“Abound Credit Union is dedicated to helping active duty military, veterans and the surrounding community achieve more by improving their financial health,” Ray Springsteen, president and CEO of Abound, said in response to the honor. “Our commitment to having a long-lasting, life-changing impact on all those we serve is unwavering.”

This statewide awards program recognizes individuals, national service members, groups, nonprofits and businesses from across the Commonwealth who have demonstrated extraordinary service to their communities. The award specifically recognizes businesses which have made an impact through innovation, volunteer hours, number of volunteers and monetary support.
