LaRue Financial Group owner Ben LaRue is most grateful for his family, friends, a roof over his head, and his health. He makes an effort to practice “get what you give.”
“Give a good hug and get one back. Open up to see gratitude. Choose to be happy and/or thankful. Speak less and listen more,” LaRue explained.
LaRue believes that gratitude makes everything better and helps you find joy in little things. He reminds others to “open your heart and look for gratitude.”

Benefits of Gratitude
The benefits derived from a sustained practice of gratitude prove to be positive, significant and multifaceted:
- Promotes healing, strengthens our immune system, lowers blood pressure, reduces symptoms of illness, and increases pain thresholds.
- Creates resilience by fostering greater mental, emotional and physical health and well-being.
- Generates more positive social behaviors, buffering against negativity-bias, bolstering teamwork, and broadening our attention to positive emotions.
