Hardin Memorial Health and HMH Foundation hosted the 2nd Annual Purses, Pumps and Prevention (PPP), which uses a social get-together as a way to equip attendees with cancer prevention information while celebrating HMH patients battling cancer.
“Our community is a generous one,” said Karen Blaiklock “Ticket sales for the social sold out quickly and all proceeds from this event benefit HMH Cancer Care.”
Held at the Historic State Theater Complex in Elizabethtown, PPP also included a fashion show featuring local boutiques. Walking the runway were eight HMH Cancer Care patients, both survivors and fighters, to represent the different steps of the cancer journey.
“We’re grateful to have the chance to showcase the beauty and strength of these women,” said Debbie Sullivan, owner of Dressed to the 9’s.
Other featured boutiques include Ali’s Bubblegum Boutique; The Bug’s Ear; O’Neal’s Boutique at Back Home Restaurant; Pretty Woman Boutique; Swanky Shoppe; That Cute Little Shop; and Walker Layne Boutique.
A boutique marketplace was available before and after the event, where guests could purchase boutique items and place orders.
HMH and HMHF would like to thank event sponsors Aramark; Caretenders; Clagett Photography; Gerald Printing; Impress Party Productions; and USA Bridal.
